Original acrylic on panel : My latest portrait of 80’s singer Boy George, has been put forward to raise much needed funds for Marie Curie, Northern Ireland.
The portrait took 16 months to complete.
My connection with this fundraising event is because my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in April 2021, sadly she lost her battle with the disease in October 2021. Marie Curie cared for my mother towards the end of her life & so this became a very personal project for me, to thank and support, Marie Curie nurses, Marie Curie care assistants & Marie Curie Rapid Response Team members.
